Concept/Philosophy: Haridwar Mural Festival, Haridwar Mural Festival (February 2019), curated by Meenakshi Payal, was a pioneering public art project in collaboration with Namami Gange under the Ministry of Jal Shakti. The festival's mission was to bring art into public spaces, celebrating culture and creativity in one of India’s holiest cities. Transforming landmarks like the iconic Clock Tower into a Pillar of Light and creating the largest floor mural on the ghats, the event featured artists from India, the U.S., and Mexico, bridging communities through art and revitalizing Haridwar’s spiritual essence.

Project Name: Varanasi Art Project: 2019

Concept/Philosophy: Varanasi Art Project (October 2019), Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities and a spiritual epicenter, became the canvas for the Varanasi Art Project in October 2019, curated by Meenakshi Payal. This initiative aimed to enhance the city’s unique cultural character by adding vibrant murals to the world-famous ghats, visited by millions daily.

The project seamlessly integrated art and culture into public spaces while raising awareness about the global issues of litter and pollution. 8 international artists from 8 countries contributed their artistic visions to 8 iconic locations along the ghats, creating a stunning blend of tradition and modernity. The project highlighted how art can bridge cultural boundaries and drive meaningful conversations about environmental sustainability.
